One of the fruits of the spirit is Joy (Galatians 5:22-23). In fact, it’s the second one mentioned, after love. I don’t know if we have prioritised this aspect of our faith as much as we should. Churches are often described as boring, not full of joy and life and fun.
In Ecclesiastes 3 the author notes that there is a time for everything, including laughing and dancing. In Nehemiah 8:10 he instructs the people of God to go and celebrate. I believe that Jesus and His disciples had a lot of fun. He spoke of dinner parties and parties in heaven. He was accused of being a drunk and a glutton, I imagine, because He was out till all hours having a good (clean) time.
As His followers, we should be so full of joy that it exudes out of us. Let me list some reasons;

I want to challenge you this week to do something fun as a response to the joy that you have in Jesus. Let’s be a people of joy.
